چکیده

We report the case of a systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patient who was diagnosed with cerebritis, vasculitis, Epstein-Barr virus infection, and consequently, lymphoma. The presented to emergency department dysarthria, dysphagia, left-sided hemiparesis, hypesthesia. Initial brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed multiple high signal intensities in cortex subcortex. Intravenous methylprednisolone immunoglobulin administration did not improve her symptoms. However, intravenous rituximab improved parenchymal angiographic abnormalities. One month later, she developed another acute Brain MRI rim-enhancing lesions perilesional edema, different from previous lesion. cyclophosphamide symptoms, finally primary central nervous system lymphoma after biopsy. Neurological symptoms chemotherapy. Since incidence is relatively SLE patients, careful diagnosis accurate treatment are needed.

Neuropsychiatric Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) is the least understood, yet perhaps the most prevalent manifestation of lupus. The pathogenesis of NPSLE is multifactorial and involves various inflammatory cytokines, autoantibodies, and immune complexes resulting in vasculopathic, cytotoxic and autoantibody-mediated neuronal injury. The management of NPSLE is multimodal and has not been s...
